I'm getting an ERROR: 7001 message

I'm trying to register after a password reset

You may see an ERROR: 7001 message when trying to register if you have previously registered for the service and have forgotten your password. This happens when your practice have not fully reset your account.

If you are registering for Patient Access from a letter your practice gave you:

  1. Contact your practice and ask them to use the Reset account linkage key option on your Patient Access account.
  2. This will generate a new registration letter which you will need to collect.
  3. You will then need to re-register for Patient Access using the details in the registration letter.

If the practice are unsure of what to do, ask them to contact EMIS Health and we'll help them complete the process. Otherwise, they can use this document:

Patient Access - problems with signing in.pdf

For any other reason

Please use the option below to contact us so that we can investigate this - please include the reference number underneath the ERROR: 7001 message.

IMPORTANT: If your medical practice is in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, please contact them with your query. The ticket service below is only available for practices in England.

If you still need help with using Patient Access, you can raise a ticket here for the support team. If you want to discuss a medical issue, contact your practice.

Patient Access is an online service provided by EMIS Health. We provide the clinical system that your practice uses and which you connect to through Patient Access. Your Patient Access account is configured and looked after by your practice, not us, so you will sometimes need to contact them directly if you’re having problems. However, where we can help you or your practice we certainly will.
